TaxiPay is entirely secure, as all data sent from your mobile phone or Chip and PIN terminal is encoded before being sent to the TaxiPay service. TaxiPay also conforms to all of the card schemes security requirements with regard to the storage and handling of credit card data.
TaxiPay does not require any Public Carriage Officer approval, as it uses a standard phone or terminal, which is not fixed in the vehicle, to process payments. TaxiPay provide PCO-approved point of sale stickers to inform customers that the taxi accepts card payments, along with details of the surcharge.
