Another advantage of TaxiPay is that you don’t need a credit card account, as all payments made are processed on our merchant account. This means that you do not need to pay to set up your own account and are not subject to the minimum transaction volumes typically imposed by the banks and other credit card system providers.
Any transactions processed on your account are automatically added up by our billing system. The total of your transactions, less whatever surcharge you have set, are then transferred into the bank account of your choice using the BACs payment system. This payment process takes place on the Friday following your week’s transactions, and you receive your money on the Tuesday after that. This is between and 8 and 15 days after you take the card payment depending on what day the card was processed.
Customers can tip using the TaxiPay system, unless they choose to do so with cash. Any tips taken through TaxiPay are also subject to the same surcharge as the fare.
